About SHare
SHare is a watch-together and chat app for spending time with friends who are somewhere else. Create a room and share its invite link or six-character room code. Friends can join from a modern browser with a display name; the basic guest flow does not require an account or an app download.
What can you do in one room?
- Share a browser tab, window or screen from a desktop browser so everyone can watch the same picture. Shared audio depends on the browser and selected source.
- Talk by video, voice or text. You choose when to enable your camera, microphone and screen share.
- Move into room games such as Puzzle Together, Same Answer and How Well Do You Know Me? without closing the conversation.
- Join the same room on the web or through the iPhone and Android apps. Screen-sharing options can vary by device.
How watching together works
Viewers see the host’s live screen share. SHare does not synchronize a separate streaming player for every participant or remove capture restrictions from protected content. Choose a source you have permission to share and test the picture and sound with one friend before inviting the whole group.
Invitations and privacy
Unlisted rooms stay out of public room listings and are shared by link or code. A recipient can forward an invitation, so send it only to people you want to join. Public rooms can appear in discovery listings. Joining through a link does not require you to turn on your camera or microphone.
